Remove soil ridges from around watering basins prior to end of <br />maintenance period, as directed by the Landscape Architect. <br />B. <br />Watering: Water when soil moisture is below optimum level for best plant <br />growth. <br />1 <br />3.11 CLEANING <br />A. <br />Fill all pits /depressions in holding area and rough grade to meet <br />surrounding elevations. Remove any organic material or other debris <br />resulting from the plant relocation process. <br />B. <br />Sweep and wash all paved surfaces. <br />C. <br />Remove planting debris from project site and holding area. <br />D. <br />Remove soil conditioners, soil mixes, gravel, etc. from project site and <br />holding area. <br />3.12 SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION, INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE <br />1 A. Inspection of the entire project or designated portions thereof shall be <br />made upon written request of the Contractor. At that time, if all work is <br />satisfactory and complete according to the conditions of the Contract, the <br />Architect shall declare the work substantially complete. <br />B. Contractor's written request for review of the work or any designate <br />1 portion thereof shall be received by Architect at least five (5) days before <br />anticipated date of inspection. <br />C. Plants that have died or in unhealthy or badly impaired condition on <br />inspection shall be treated or replaced within 14 days at no additional cost <br />to Owner. <br />1 D. Replace rejected plants within two weeks of inspection. <br />E. Substantial completion of the work for the entire project or designated <br />portions thereof shall constitute the beginning of guarantee period. <br />F. Contractor's responsibility for maintenance (exclusive of replacement <br />within guarantee period) shall terminate on date of final acceptance of the <br />entire project according to the conditions of the Contract, provided <br />Contractor has supplied Landscape Architect with three (3) copies of <br />written maintenance instructions as required under Paragraph 1.05C of <br />this Section. <br />1 END OF SECTION <br />1 07/06 02490 -14 05 -5564 <br />
