Municipal Planning Services Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. has established, long term relationships with many municipalities in the South Florida area. The Planning Department reviews site plans for various municipalities to ensure that plans meet all municipal code requirements. We serve as members of the Development Review Committees and participate in Council /Commission meetings and various Planning & Zoning Board meetings. The Planning Department has assisted (and continues to assist) several newly incorporated municipalities in breaking away from County regulations and establishing unique municipal ordinances. CGA planners have prepared Comprehensive Plans, Master Plans, Land Development Regulations and Zoning Codes. Our work for these municipal clients is constantly evolving and changing in order to keep pace with new State laws and development trends. Calvin, Giordano & Associates completed numerous special projects for the City of Weston including the development of a blaster Plan for the Bonaventure area of the City for roadway improvements and drainage; design of City entryway features; the beautification and median improvements for Weston Road, and, the supervision of the design and construction phases of the 102 -acre Regional Athletic Park .. Flint City Manaqer Land Development The Planning Department assists with all aspects of land development activities including Land Use Plan Amendments, Rezoning petitions, platting and site planning. We are familiar and well connected with the regulatory agencies which helps us to process applications in an expeditious manner. We keep up to date on all land use matters including changes in local regulations and ordinances as well as State Statutes. We also work closely with land use attorneys in order to provide the attorneys with the planning information necessary to obtain approvals.
