' City of Sunny Isles Beach, Professional General Engineering Consultant January 8, 2007 Page 4 Additional recent work performed for Miami -Dade Public Works includes CWI's Award Winning Grand Avenue Streetscape. This project included new roadway medians, a storm water system, decorative lighting, traffic signals, and coordination with existing water and sewer mains. This roadway revitalized this corridor for the residents of Coconut Grove in the City of Miami. Public Involvement on Grand Avenue was key to keeping the local residents aware of the project. CWI recently completed NW 102 Road for the Town of Medley. This project was successfully completed with SFWMD and local commercial property owners' funding. We also developed the 7 -year resurfacing program for the 114 miles of roadway in the Village of Palmetto Bay. We have provided construction administration assistance to the Village for the past four paving cycles and will be starting the fifth group of roads within a few months. Medley Drainage Palmetto Bay Drainage and Paving Past Performance of the Firms: Our local project experience includes working with the City of Coral Gables, WASD, MDPW, DERM, FDEP, FDOT, Department of Health and the Miami -Dade Parks Department for the design of sanitary sewer, force mains, pump stations, stormwater systems and other improvements. CWI Staff members have provided engineering services to local cities and Miami -Dade County for more than 30 years. We are proud of our selection for repeat contracts with many of our government clients. Indications of the quality of this service is our record with FDOT Districts 4 & 6. CWI has received scores as high as 100 from District 6 and 96 from District 4 during the past 10 years of service. This track record is evidence of our dedication to providing excellent service to our clients. project. Approach to this Project: We believe that Public Involvement will be an important part of this design project. CWI will coordinate with the City and provide public involvement presentation material, public forum meeting information, and any other materials that may be necessary to keep the residents informed of the project's progress. As an example, on the Grand Avenue Roadway Master Planning and Design Phase, CWI worked with Miami -Dade Public Works Department and successfully conducted several Public Involvement meetings. The residents were very pleased with the results of the completed Award Winning roadway project. We will work closely with the City's Project Manager to design this improvement project to meet the City's budget. We have reviewed the City of Sunny Isles Beach's, 2006/07 Capital Improvement Projects. We understand that there are various funding sources and a limited amount of funds. We will update the project budget at major milestones for review by the City. Our (7 .. "i:, i .� u:, procedures include the review of the project schedules and budgets. We communicate with our Project Manager's to maintain our schedules. Budgets are prepared at the very beginning and during the design process. These Budgets are reviewed with the PM and any required modifications are addressed in advance of the completion date.
