&ASSOCIATES
Civil and Environmental Engineers
FIRM EXPERIENCE - CONTINUED
Project Name: HYPOLUXO POINT SEWER SYSTEM
Location: TOWN OF HYPOLUXO, FL
Description: Chen and Associates was selected by the Town of Hypoluxo to design a sewer
system serving the Hypoluxo Point neighborhood. Hypoluxo Point is a
• subdivision bordering the Intercoastal Waterway and Lake Worth Lagoon.
Water quality of the lagoon was potentially impacted by the seepage from the
septic tank drainfields serving the neighborhood. The Town secured a grant
from Florida Department of Environmental Protection through Palm Beach
• County for the environmental enhancement and restoration of Lake Worth
Lagoon. This grant helped pay for a portion of the sewer project. Due to the
shallow groundwater level in the project area, a vacuum sewer system was
designed as an alternate bid item to conventional gravity sewer system. The
project was bid in early 2001 and construction was complete in mid 2002.
Client: The Honorable Kenneth M. Schultz, Mayor
Town of Hypoluxo
7580 South Federal Highway
Hypoluxo, Fl 33462 -6034
(561) 588 -9431
Project Fee: $164,206
Construction Budget: $1,400,000 (Completed under budget)
Completion Date: June 2002
"Providing quality, responsive and professional service to clients, peers and the public for 20 years"
