<br />VII. EV ALUA TION PROCEDURES <br /> <br />A. Selection <br />Proposals submitted will be evaluated by the city staff and a recommendation will be <br />submitted to the Mayor and City Commission for approval. During the evaluation <br />process, the City of Sunny Isles Beach reserve the right. where it may serve the City <br />of Sunny Isles Beach's best interest, to request additional information or <br />clarifications from proposers, or to allow corrections of errors or omissions. At the <br />discretion of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, firms submitting proposals may be <br />requested to make oral presentations as part of the evaluation process. <br /> <br />B. Review of Proposals <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach will use a point formula during the review process to <br />score proposals. <br /> <br />C. Evaluation Criteria <br />Proposals will be evaluated using the criteria listed below. Firms meeting the <br />mandatory criteria will have their proposals evaluated and scored. The following <br />represent the principal selection criteria which will be considered during the <br />evaluation process. <br /> <br />I. Mandatory Elements <br /> <br />a. The audit firm is independent and licensed to practice in Florida. <br /> <br />b. The firm has no conflict of interest with regard to any other work <br />performed by the firm for the City of Sunny Isles Beach. <br /> <br />c. The firm adheres to the instructions in this request for proposal on <br />preparing and submitting the proposal. <br /> <br />d. The firm submits a copy of its last external quality control review <br />report and the firm has a record of quality audit work. <br /> <br />2. Technical Quality: <br /> <br />Each of the proposers who have satisfied the mandatory elements will be <br />evaluated on the following criteria. <br /> <br />Point <br />Range <br /> <br />a.
