NOTICE TO CONSULTANTS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH is seeking qualifications for the following: Request for Qualifications No. 07-04-02 Professional General Engineering Consultant for the Heritage Park Parking Garage Notice if hereby given that the City of Sunny Isles Beach is seeking Professional Engineering Services for the design and preparation of complete construction contract plans and special provisions for the Heritage Park Parking Garage. Sealed submittals will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at City of Sunny Isles Beach, City Hall located at 18070 Collins Avenue, First Floor Meeting Room, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, 33160. Submittals received after this time will not be accepted. Submittals will be opened publicly and read aloud at this time. A mandatory Pre-Submittal Conference is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 16,2007 at the Sunny Isles Beach Government Center, 18070 Collins Avenue, First Floor Meeting Room, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. All consultants planning to submit a submittal are required to attend this meeting. Consultants should allow sufficient time to ensure arrival prior to the indicated time. Submittals from those who have failed to attend will not be accepted. The garage must accommodate at least 450 parking spaces, meeting minimum City Codes in a maximum of four (4) levels of parking (including the ground level). Parking will be allowed on the top (open) level. A driveway entrance from Gallahad Dade Boulevard will be required. The structure's foot print should not exceed one acre and is anticipated to be approximately 125 feet by 350 feet. Consultant services shall include but not be limited to Project Management; Public Involvement; Full Design Survey; Driveway Design; Signing and Pavement Markings; Drainage; Lighting; Environmental Permitting, including any necessary mitigation plans; Utility Coordination; Geotechnical Engineering; Specifications; Post Design Services (Shop drawing review and Response to Request for Information); Bid Administration (Selection and Letting); and Construction Management and Inspection (CEI). RFQ packages may be obtained from the Office of the City Clerk, City of Sunny Isles Beach, 18070 Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160, at no cost. The City reserves the right to reject any or all submittals, with or without cause, and to waive technical errors and informalities, and to accept the submittal which best serves the interest of the City.
