<br />Professional General Engineering Consultant- <br />Traffic Engineering <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Project: FDOT District Five Districtwide Traffic Operations Studies <br />Contact: Chris Cairns, PE, FDOT District Five <br />Phone: (386) 943-5328 <br />As a subconsultant, V ANUS completed 22 assignments, including signal warrant analyses, lighting <br />justification reports, left-turn phase studies, and intersection analyses. <br /> <br />Project: FDOT District Seven Access Management Support <br />Contact: David Olson, PE, FDOT District Seven <br />Phone: (813) 975-6000 <br />This is an on-going contract for which V ANUS has completed two assignments. One task involved <br />evaluating approximately 17 miles of US 19 through Pasco County for deficiencies in access <br />management. Alternative solutions to correct the problems were developed and presented to the <br />appropriate governmental agencies (the City Council of New Port Richey, the Pasco County Board of <br />County Commissioners, and the Pasco County MPO. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Project: Cape Coral Downtown Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Traffic Study <br />Contact: Steve Neff, City of Cape Coral <br />Phone: (239) 242-3216 <br />V ANUS prepared a traffic study that evaluated the Downtown for purposes of developing transportation <br />alternatives to enhance the traffic circulation and flow as it relates to vehicular traffic, and provide a <br />pedestrian friendly environment to improve safety and promote economic growth. Alternative traffic <br />controls were analyzed, including roundabouts. The plans were developed and were made available to <br />the public. The public had the opportunity to provide input through a questionnaire, a website, and four <br />public meetings. <br /> <br />Project: Chiquita Boulevard Corridor and Access Study, Cape Coral <br />Contact: Rashad Hanbali, PE, City of Cape Coral <br />Phone: (239) 242-3216 <br />V ANUS prepared a corridor study to identify geometric conditions required to accommodate design year <br />2030 traffic volumes. In addition, V ANUS prepared an access management study in accordance with <br />state and local requirements. <br /> <br />Project: 46th Avenue North Corridor Study/Design, Pinellas County <br />Contact: Jim Collins, PE, Pinellas County <br />Phone: (727) 464-3251 <br />V ANUS developed interim/design year traffic volumes and determined the geometric needs for this <br />Pine lias County roadway and three intersections along the study corridor using appropriate traffic <br />engineering software. The project also included signal designs for three intersections (71st Street, 66th <br />Street, and 62nd Street). <br /> <br />TRAFFIC OPERATIONS DESIGN <br /> <br />V ANUS has extensive experience in design and plans preparation. Our approach consists of a thorough <br />collection of data, comprehensive analysis, and on-site verification of the recommendations for their <br />constructability prior to submitting our plans. V ANUS has prepared numerous signalization plans, <br />including hundreds of locations as part of signal systems in Charlotte, Collier, Palm Beach, and Broward <br />counties.
