Project: FDOT District Seven Access Management Support Contact: David Olson, PE, FDOT District Seven Phone: (813) 975-6000 This is an on-going contract for which V ANUS has completed two assignments. One task involved evaluating approximately 17 miles of US 19 through Pasco County for deficiencies in access management. Alternative solutions to correct the problems were developed and presented to the appropriate governmental agencies (the City Council of New Port Richey, the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners, and the Pasco County MPO. . Project: Cape Coral Downtown Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Traffic Study Contact: Steve Neff, City of Cape Coral Phone: (239) 242-3216 V ANUS prepared a traffic study that evaluated the Downtown for purposes of developing transportation alternatives to enhance the traffic circulation and flow as it relates to vehicular traffic, and provide a pedestrian friendly environment to improve safety and promote economic growth. Alternative traffic controls were analyzed, including roundabouts. The plans were developed and were made available to the public. The public had the opportunity to provide input through a questionnaire, a website, and four public meetings. Project: Chiquita Boulevard Corridor and Access Study, Cape Coral Contact: Rashad Hanbali, PE, City of Cape Coral Phone: (239) 242-3216 V ANUS prepared a corridor study to identify geometric conditions required to accommodate design year 2030 traffic volumes. In addition, V ANUS prepared an access management study in accordance with state and local requirements. Project: 46th Avenue North Corridor Study/Design, Pinellas County Contact: Jim Collins, PE, Pinellas County Phone: (727) 464-3251 V ANUS developed interim/design year traffic volumes and determined the geometric needs for this Pine lias County roadway and three intersections along the study corridor using appropriate traffic engineering software. The project also included signal designs for three intersections (71st Street, 66th Street, and 62nd Street). TRAFFIC OPERATIONS DESIGN V ANUS has extensive experience in design and plans preparation. Our approach consists of a thorough collection of data, comprehensive analysis, and on-site verification of the recommendations for their constructability prior to submitting our plans. V ANUS has prepared numerous signalization plans, including hundreds of locations as part of signal systems in Charlotte, Collier, Palm Beach, and Broward counties. V ANUS has also prepared highway lighting and signing/marking plans for numerous projects. As a result, we have developed detailed Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QAlQC) processes and will . apply these processes to the projects that the City assigns.
