<br />Copyright 2004 AIA <br /> <br />MASTERSPEC - SHORT FORM <br /> <br />02/04 <br /> <br />SECTION 03930 - CONCRETE REHABILITATION <br /> <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> <br />1.1 SUMMARY <br /> <br />A. This Section includes the following: <br /> <br />1. Removal of deteriorated concrete and reinforcement and subsequent replacement and <br />patching. <br />2. Floor joint repair. <br />3. Epoxy crack injection. <br />4. Corrosion-inhibiting treatment. <br />5. Polymer sealers. <br /> <br />B. See Division 7 Section "Water Repellents" for clear penetrating and film-forming water <br />repellents applied to concrete. <br /> <br />1.2 UNIT PRICES <br /> <br />A. Unit prices include the cost of preparing existing construction to receive the work <br />indicated[ and costs offield quality-control testing required hy the Work for which the unit <br />price applies]. <br /> <br />B. Concrete Removal and Replacement or Patching: Work will be paid for by the cubic foot <br />(cubic meter) computed on the basis of rectangular solid shapes approximating the actual shape <br />of concrete removed and replaced with average depths, widths, and lengths, measured to the <br />nearest inch (centimeter). <br /> <br />1. Reinforcing bar replacement will be paid for separately by the pound (kilogram) of <br />replacement steel with welded and mechanical splices paid for by the unit. <br /> <br />C. Epoxy Crack Injection: Work will be paid for by the linear foot (linear meter) of crack injected. <br /> <br />1.3 SUBMITTALS <br /> <br />A. Product Data: For each type of product indicated. <br /> <br />B. Qualification Data: For [installers] [and] [testing agency]. <br /> <br />1. For products required to be installed by workers approved by product manufacturers, <br />include letters of acceptance by product manufacturers certifying that installers are <br />approved to apply their products. <br /> <br />C.
