<br />Stations may be programmed to be omitted. The controller shall provide for manual <br />operation when particular stations require special irrigation. The controller shall provide <br />variable day cycles for every day, every other day, every third day, etc. <br /> <br />C. All station wiring shall be color-coded with a section indicator key printed and visible at <br />the connection point. <br />D. There shall be fused circuit protection to prevent damage due to excessive voltage <br />surges. A pump start circuit which can also be used to control a master valve shall be <br />included in each unit. Each controller shall have U.L. approval. <br /> <br />E. The casing of each controller shall be a metal locking, weatherproof cabinet. Operation <br />instructions shall be printed on the inside door of each controller for easy access when <br />programming. Each controller shall have the station capacity <br />noted. Each station shall have an independent time control from 1 minute to 12 hours in <br />one minute increments. <br /> <br />2.10 CONTROL WIRE <br /> <br />A. Electrical control and ground wire shall be irrigation control cable. Wiring to be used for <br />connecting the automatic remote control valves to each automatic controller shall be <br />Type "U.F.", 600 volt, solid copper, single conductor wire with PVC insulation and bear <br />U.L. approval for direct underground burial feeder cable. <br /> <br />B. Insulation shall be 4/64" thick minimum covering of an approved thermoplastic <br />compound for positive waterproof protection of sizes AWG size 118 through and <br />including AWG size 10. AWG size 8 through AWG size 00 shall be insulated with 5/64" of <br />the approved thermoplastic compound. <br /> <br />C. Verification of wire types and installation procedures shall be checked with and made to <br />conform to local codes. Wires shall be color coded and have different color or stripes for <br />each zone control wire between controller and valve. <br /> <br />2.11 BACKFLOW PREVENTION (EXISTING) <br /> <br />A.
