EXECUTIVE SUMMARY More CAPABILITIES, more value for you Dear Selection Committee Members: We understand you have a large number of RFQ responses to go through to grade and that your time is valuable. Therefore, in consideration of your time and your direction to "keep it simple, get to the point, and make your case with facts and good information", we have provided you with this executive summary to help you clearly identify the benefits Haskell brings to you for the Heritage Park and Parking Garage Project. We look forward to telling your more about what we can do for your project if we are placed on your short list. Haskell is a large, international construction management and integrated design-build firm headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida with a local office in Pembroke Pines. We believe in giving our clients more than they expect, so in addition to standard CM services, we ofter the following unique benefits for you: 1. Fastest Possible Delivery of the Parking Garage - We understand you need your new garage as quickly as possible to start generating revenue for the City. In partnership with you and your design team, Haskell will evaluate the fastest structural system for delivering the parking garage with our in-house architects and engineers. You can be parking cars in your garage by February of 2010. Please see page 12 further schedule information. 2. Parking Garage and Public Park Expertise - Typically, park builders are not parking garage builders. Haskell has completed in excess of 50 parking garages and several public parks. You can be confident both will be completed by competent professionals with Haskell. Please see page 10 for some public park and parking garage projects completed by Haskell. 3. Real Value Engineering Solutions - In addition to our construction management services, Haskell is an expert designer of parking garages. Our in-house design staft can evaluate your design and make recommendations to save time and achieve your goal of getting a nice product at a fair price. In fact, we have an excellent design solution for the "Big V's" on the exterior of the building that will make them inexpensive, great looking, easy to build, easy to maintain, and as durable concrete. 4. An Excellent Relationship with AECOM (formerly Spillis Candela, DMJM) - Haskell has worked with AECOM on several projects including the recently completed Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida (BCBSF) Parking Garage. Working in partnership with BCBSF and AECOM, Haskell suggested changing the garage from cast-in-place to precast concrete, saving approximately $2 million and 2 months. A Team Philosophy - In partnership with you, Haskell is prepared to deliver the park and parking garage as quickly and efficiently as possible, while remaining well below your stated budget of $12.5 million.
