<br />BURKHARDT <br />CONSTRUCTION, INC. <br /> <br />Question 7 Description of recent project experience, including projects of similar size. and client <br />references with contact information. <br /> <br />Boynton Beach Boulevard Extension and Promenade - Boynton Beach, FL <br /> <br />Customer and owner: City of Boynton Beach CRA <br /> <br />Current status: Completed 2006 <br /> <br />Description: Burkhardt Construction served the City of Boynton Beach CRA for construction of a <br />streetscape project along the Intracoastal Waterway involving the extension of Boynton Beach <br />Boulevard. This is part of a redevelopment effort by the Community Redevelopment Agency to <br />improve the city's waterfront. The project consisted of two specific elements: the extension of <br />Boynton Beach Boulevard from US1 to the Intracoastal Waterway and the construction of a <br />waterfront promenade designed to allow the public to experience the natural mangrove environment. <br />This project will act as the link between the private sector and public sector redevelopment activity <br />which has already commenced in this area. The improvements will also create a place that serves the recreational, <br />educational, social and economic needs of Boynton Beach as it reaches out to the region with a unique and captivating <br />design. Burkhardt Construction was awarded this project through a qualifications based selection <br />process. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Construction value: $8,839,819.00 <br />Size: 2,000 feet of roadway and promenade <br />Project budget adherence: 15% below budget <br />Project schedule adherence: Completed 6 months ahead of schedule <br /> <br />South Pointe Streetscape Phase I - Miami Beach, FL <br /> <br />Customer and owner: City of Miami Beach <br /> <br />Current status: Completed 2002 <br /> <br />Description: The award-winning South Pointe Streetscape Project was the first phase of <br />a capital improvements program for the world-renowned "South Beach" section of Miami <br />Beach. The project consisted of complete reconstruction of the storm drainage system, <br />sidewalks and a high level of finish streetscape/hardscape including an interactive <br />fountain, landscape, irrigation, color concrete sidewalks, brick pavers, street furniture <br />and an at grade street events plaza. The completion of the project was set to coincide <br />with the annual fall opening date for the venerable 94-year-old "Joe's Stone Crab <br />Restaurant" which is on the street. The project was completed 22 days ahead of schedule and on budget. Burkhardt <br />Construction was selected for this project through a qualifications based process. The construction value was then <br />negotiated with the Owner. This project earned Burkhardt Construction, Inc. a "Build <br />Florida" Award from the Associated General Contractors of America. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Construction value: $2,607,000.00 <br />Size: 3,000 linear feet <br />Project budget adherence: Completed within budget <br />Project schedule adherence: Completed ahead of schedule <br /> <br />IllPagc <br />
