N & J Construction has never been assessed liquidated damages on a project. <br />N & J has repeatedly demonstrated its capabilities by delivering all previous <br />projects within the scheduled duration. N & J is currently participating in direct <br />owner purchase with the City of Miami Gardens which has yielded a considerable <br />tax savings to the city with out sacrificing the material procurement schedule. <br />The best evidence N&J can provide for assurance that plan, specifications and <br />schedules are met are our previous clients. We highly encourage you to contact <br />them. <br /> <br />N & J Construction was recently selected by the Town of Surfside to be one of <br />the five firms to bid on their new community center. Over 24 firms submitted pre- <br />qualifications and only five were chosen. We are proud to be one of those five. <br /> <br />9. N & J Construction is currently working on a parking garage for the Port of Miami. <br />The garage N&J is currently building is 4 stories and accommodates 738 spaces <br />in 240,000sf. This garage was built using a precast concrete system, which has <br />produced excellent results in quality of finishes and schedule. The terminal D <br />garage was produced in 2 months and is almost completely erected. The <br />erection will take approximately 2 months. <br /> <br />It is N&J's opinion that the Heritage Park & Parking Garage should be re- <br />designed to utilize a precast concrete system. N&J estimates the re-design will <br />take approximately 2 months, which can be conducted concurrently with <br />earthwork and foundation construction. We feel that the time and cost savings <br />will allow for both phases, garage and park to be built simultaneously. The <br />current timeframe of 11 months utilizing cast-in-place concrete is very aggressive <br />and will involve inefficient time in the removal and reconfiguration of formwork. <br />We strongly and respectfully suggest the City consider this option. <br /> <br />10. N & J Construction is presently completing: <br /> <br />. Port of Miami Terminal D Garage, which will be complete by mid <br />Aug.09 <br /> <br />. Miami Gardens Community Center, which will be completed by <br />Oct. 09 <br /> <br />. N & J is currently bidding on the Town of Surfside Community <br />Center, which is not anticipated to start until Oct.09 <br /> <br />11. Attached is a letter confirming our bonding capabilities and copies of State and <br />County licenses. If selected, N & J can provide financial statements to the City <br />prior to award. <br />
