<br />H. "Open house" event signs: Such signs are permissible and shall be located at the front <br />entrance of a single family residential neighborhood subiect to the approval of the City Manager <br />or his designee. Such signs shall be permitted within twenty four (24) hours of the open house <br />event and shall be removed no later than twenty four (24) hours after the open house event. This <br />twenty four (24) hour time limitation may be extended to no more than forty eight (48) hours <br />based on good cause shown and approval by the City Manager or his designee. This Ordinance <br />shall not apply to multi-family buildings or condominium associations. The applicant for the <br />open house event sign shall be required to apply for a temporary sign permit from the City <br />Manager or his designee each year, in the amount of twenty five dollars ($25.00) per year. Such <br />signs shall not be permitted if this registration requirement is not met. Any person violating any <br />of the provisions of this subsection shall be subiect to a daily penalty in the amount of two <br />hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) per day for each continuing day of non-compliance. For the first <br />repeat violation of this subsection, the applicant shall be prohibited from registering for an open <br />house event sign for one year. For the second repeat violation of this subsection, the applicant <br />shall be permanently banned from applying for an open house event sign. <br /> <br />Section 2. Severability. The provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be severable and if <br />any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance shall for any reason be held to be invalid <br />or unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections, <br />sentences, clause, and phrases of this Ordinance but they shall remain in effect, it being the <br />legislative intent that this Ordinance shall stand notwithstanding the inval idity of any part. <br /> <br />Section 3. Inclusion in the Code. it is the intention of the Commission, and it is hereby <br />ordained, that the provisions of this Ordinance shall become and be made a part of the code of the <br />City of Sunny lsles Beach, Florida; and that the sections of this Ordinance may be renumbered or <br />relettered to accomplish such intentions; and that the word "ordinance" shall be changed to <br />"section" or other appropriate word, as required. <br /> <br />Section 4. Repealer. All ordinances or part of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the <br />same are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Section 5. Effective Date.
