This proposed Ordinance is being <br />submitted on behalf of Commissioner Aelion. <br /> <br />REASONS: <br /> <br />Currently, the City Code prohibits the placement of off-premises signs in the City. The <br />City wishes to authorize the placement of temporary off-premises signs to promote <br />residential open house events. Such signs shall be located at the front entrance of a single <br />family residential neighborhood subject to the approval of the City Manager or his <br />designee. The signs shall be permitted within twenty four (24) hours of the open house <br />event and shall be removed no later than twenty four (24) hours after the open house <br />event. This twenty four (24) hour time limitation may be extended to no more than forty <br />eight (48) hours based on good cause shown and approval by the City Manager or his <br />designee. The Ordinance shall not apply to multi-family buildings or condominiums. <br /> <br />A TT ACHMENTS: <br />. Ordinance <br />.
