<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011---Ll.5.3 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH OF <br />MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE CITY <br />OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH TENTATIVE AD VALOREM TAX <br />MILLAGE LEVY RATE AT 2.8860 MILLS PER ONE <br />THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00) OF TAXABLE ASSESSED <br />VALUE WHICH IS 4.17% MORE THAN THE "ROLLED <br />BACK" RATE OF 2.7706 MILLS, FOR FISCAL YEAR <br />201112012; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Miami-Dade County, Florida, served upon the City of <br />Sunny Isles Beach a "Certification of 2010 Taxable Value"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 200.065, F.S., the City of Sunny Isles Beach furnished the <br />County Property Appraiser the proposed millage rate, and the date, time and place at which public <br />hearings will be held to consider the tentative millage rate and tentative budget; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Commission agrees to establish the proposed ad valorem tax millage levy <br />rate at 2.8860 mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of taxable assessed value. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Adopt the Tentative Millage Rate. The proposed millage rate is hereby adopted as <br />2.8860 per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of assessed property value in the City of Sunny Isles <br />Beach. The proposed millage reflected is 4.17% more than the "rolled back" rate of2.7706 mills, for <br />Fiscal Year 20ll/20l2. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
