<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011- ;'113 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING PAYMENT TO <br />REPAIR THE CITY'S STREET SWEEPER PERFORMED BY <br />ENVIRONMENT AL PRODUCTS OF FLORIDA, CORPORATION, <br />IN AN AMOUNT OF SIX THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED <br />SEVENTY -NINE DOLLARS AND FORTY -FIVE CENTS <br />($6,179.45) FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWENTY <br />THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED SEVENTY -EIGHT DOLLARS <br />AND FORTY-EIGHT CENTS ($20,778.48), ATTACHED HERETO <br />AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO <br />ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS <br />RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on July 21,2011 the City Commission approved Resolution No. 2011-1744 <br />ratifying the cost to repair the City's Street Sweeper by Environmental Products of Florida, <br />Corporation, in an amount not to exceed Fourteen Thousand Five Hundred Ninety-Nine Dollars <br />and Three Cents ($14,599.03); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, upon near completion of the repair, it was found that the fan assembly was <br />damaged and in need of repair, and an additional expense in the amount of Six Thousand One <br />Hundred Seventy-Nine Dollars and Forty-Five Cents ($6,179.45) was required in order to keep <br />the equipment in circulation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, to avoid hindrance to service, any repairs are required to be addressed <br />promptly to ensure continued service to the community and to remain compliant with State and <br />Federal regulations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Environmental Products of Florida, Corporation, was willing and able to <br />make the repairs, in an amount of Six Thousand One Hundred Seventy-Nine Dollars and Forty- <br />Five Cents ($6,179.45), for a total amount not to exceed Twenty Thousand Seven Hundred <br />Seventy-Eight Dollars and Forty-Eight Cents ($20,778.48), attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Ratifying Payment to Repair. The City Commission hereby ratifies <br />payment to repair the City's Street Sweeper provided by Environmental Products of Florida, <br />Corporation, in an amount not to exceed Six Thousand One Hundred Seventy-Nine Dollars and <br />Forty-Five Cents ($6,179.45), attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />other things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
