Summary Minutes: Regular City Commission Meeting December 15, 2016 City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida <br />Mayor Scholl introduced Zoe Gubacsi who is the new President of the Student Government <br />Association (SGA) at Norman S. Edelcup Sunny Isles Beach K-8, and he invited her to sit on <br />the dais with the Commission. <br />8. PUBLIC HEARINGS (Other than Ordinances for Second Reading) <br />None <br />9. ORDINANCES FOR SECOND READING (Public Hearings) <br />None <br />10. RESOLUTIONS <br />10A. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Ratifying a <br />Temporary Agreement for Training and Code Enforcement Services with the Village of <br />Biscayne Park, Attached Hereto as Exhibit "A"; Providing the City Manager and the City <br />Attorney with the Authority to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; <br />Providing for an Effective Date. <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and City Manager Russo reported that the Village of <br />Biscayne Park lost their only Code Enforcement Officer and asked for some temporary part- <br />time help. <br />Public Speakers: None <br />Commissioner Aelion moved and Commissioner Svechin seconded a motion to approve the <br />resolution. Resolution No. 2016-2636 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br />10B. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Approving <br />Appointments to the City Advisory Committee for Calendar Year 2017; Providing for an <br />Effective Date. <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Deputy City Clerk Mauricio Betancur reported. <br />The members of the Committee are: Chairperson Jeniffer Viscarra; Members: Michael <br />Ducote, Howard Gordon, Carla Mast, Lenny Roth, Mila Simkin, and one appointment needs <br />to be added by Mayor Scholl. Mayor Scholl said his last appointment is out of town, when <br />they get back he will confirm it. He noted that the Committee is an important function to City <br />government. <br />Public Speakers: None <br />Commissioner Goldman moved and Commissioner Aelion seconded a motion to approve <br />the resolution.
