An Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Amending <br />Sections 265-52.A.(21) and 265-57 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Sunny Isles <br />Beach; Providing for Temporary Off-Premises Open House Signs; Providing for <br />Registration Requirements and Penalties; Providing for Severability; Providing for Repealer; <br />Providing for Inclusion in the Code; Providing for an Effective Date. <br />(First Reading 07/21/11) <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Commissioner Aelion reported. City Attorney <br />Ottinot noted that real estate brokers could place open house signs off premises for 24 hours <br />and remove the sign within 24 hours, and if not removed the City can impose penalties <br />against that real estate broker. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: None <br /> <br />Mayor Ede1cup noted that this is strictly for single family homes. <br /> <br />Commissioner Aelion moved and Vice Mayor Thaler seconded a motion to adopt the <br />ordinance. An Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Amending <br />Section 68-2 (A) of the City Code to Provide Reimbursement for Mileage in Accordance <br />with Rates Established by the Internal Revenue Service; Providing for Severability and <br />Repealer; Providing for Inclusion in the Code; Providing for an Effective Date. <br />(First Reading 07/21111) <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and City Manager Cohen reported noting that this <br />provides a more equitable arrangement for City employees that are being reimbursed for <br />mileage. The IRS adjusts the rate at least annually, if not more often. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: None <br /> <br />Commissioner Scholl moved and Vice Mayor Thaler seconded a motion to adopt the <br />ordinance.
