<br />- - <br /> <br />Regular City Commission Meeting Summary Minutes November 14,2002 <br /> <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida <br /> <br />Action: Mayor Samson announced that the item was being deferred smce the <br />representatives from the Miami-Dade League of Cities were not available. <br /> <br />5B. Presentation by the Florida Department of Transportation to the City of Sunny Isles <br />Beach Police Department for the Traffic Safety Campaign. <br /> <br />Action: Police Chief Fred Maas introduced Mr. Lew Sayre of the Florida Department of <br />Transportation, and Commissioner Gerry Goodman, Chairperson of the City Traffic <br />Safety Team and American Disability Act Committee. Mr. Sayre and Commissioner <br />Goodman then presented a certificate to ChiefMaas, on behalf of the City of Sunny Isles <br />Beach Police Department, for the success of their "Stop Red Light Running" Campaign. <br /> <br />6. ZONING <br /> <br />No Zoning Hearings Scheduled <br /> <br />7. ORDINANCES FOR FIRST READING <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />8. ORDINANCES FOR SECOND READING (Public Hearings) <br /> <br />8A. An Ordinance of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Entitled "Emergency <br />Management Procedures;" Providing for Purpose, Providing for Definitions, and <br />Emergency Management Structure; Providing Declaration of a State of Emergency, <br />Termination ofa State of Emergency, Police Emergencies, Fire and Hazardous Materials <br />Emergencies, the Suspension of Local Building Regulations, and the Certification of <br />Emergency Conditions; Providing for Coordination with Miami-Dade County; Providing <br />for Penalty; Providing for Repeal, Severability, Inclusion in the Code and an Effective <br />Date. <br /> <br />(First Reading 10/10/02) <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Brown-Morilla read the title, and Deputy City Attorney Ottinot <br />reported. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Commissioner Kauffman moved and Commissioner Goodman seconded a motion to <br />adopt the ordinance.
