<br />Summary Minutes: Regular City Commission Meeting November 16,2006 <br /> <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida <br /> <br />7B.2. An Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Entitled <br />"First Small Scale Amendment to the Future Land Use Map of the City of Sunny Isles <br />Beach Comprehensive Plan"; Providing for Transmittal to the Florida Department of <br />Community Affairs; Providing for Severability; Providing for Repealer; Providing for an <br />Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title and Assistant City Manager Jorge Vera reported noting <br />that at this time there is a need to amend the Future Land Use Plan to designate new properties <br />acquired by the City for recreation open space purposes under the FLUM. He said Parcel No. <br />1 is the property located at 19200 Collins Avenue, consisting of3.8 acres; Parcel No.2 is a <br />parcel identified as the Town Center Park, 172nd and Collins A venue, that property consists of <br />approximately 3.17 acres; Parcel No.3 is inside the Golden Shores community which is next <br />to the existing Pocket Park, to the western side of the Park, and consists of approximately .017 <br />acres; and Parcel No.4 is the parcel running from the Town Center Park parallel to 172nd <br />Street just behind the Salem House, it is 1 OO-feet north of 172nd Street, which consists of2.41 <br />acres. He said that these parcels consist of close to ten (10) acres that we are adding as Parks <br />to the City. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Mayor Edelcup said we are basically updating our Comprehensive Plan which from time to <br />time we have to amend the Plan that we filed with the State to be able to show the State that <br />we have added additional Parks, and that is what this is which is more of an administrative <br />procedure that we have to go through. <br /> <br />Commissioner Thaler moved and Commissioner Iglesias seconded a motion to approve the <br />proposed ordinance on first reading. The motion was approved by a roll call vote of5-0 <br />in favor. Second reading, public hearing will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2006, <br />at 7:30 p.m. <br />Vote: Commissioner Goodman yes <br />Commissioner Iglesias m <br />Commissioner Thaler m <br />Vice Mayor Brezin yes <br />Mayor EdelcuP m <br /> <br />7C. An Ordinance of the City Commission ofthe City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Amending <br />Chapter 156 of the Sunny Isles Beach Code Entitled "Fees, Miscellaneous"; Adopting a <br />Revised Fee Schedule for the Building Department, Attached as Exhibit "A"; Providing <br />the City Manager with the Authority to Review Annually All Building Department Fees; <br />Providing for Repealer; Providing for Severability; Providing for Codification; Providing for <br />an Effective Date. <br /> <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title and Building Official!
