<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011- ~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE CITY <br />OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE <br />PROGRAM POLICY, AS AMENDED, ATTACHED HERETO AS <br />EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO <br />ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS <br />RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City is sub-recipient of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act <br />(ARRA) grant funds administered through Miami-Dade Transit (MDT), who is the grantee of the <br />Federal Transit Administration (FT A); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all sub-recipients are required to have a Drug-Free Workplace Program <br />Policy that includes specific elements covered in the FT A Regulations 49CFR Part 655; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the amendments affect the CDL Driver Addendum section of the policy, <br />and this policy has been amended to include all required elements and has received initial <br />approval by Miami-Dade County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission now wishes to approve the City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />Drug-Free Workplace Program Policy, attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approval of Policy. The City Commission hereby approves the City of Sunny <br />Isles Beach Drug-Free Workplace Program Policy as amended, attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />Effective Date.
