City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />RFP# 11 -12 -01 <br />DO Fleet Wide Remote Management System <br />(( do ' " <br />January 4, 2012 <br />Duval County Public Schools: Duval County Public Schools is the 15th largest <br />school district in the country with an enrollment of more than 155,000 students. <br />R Mainly consisting of the City of Jacksonville, DCPS contracted STA Inc. to <br />handle its student transportation services. STA uses a combination of Trapeze <br />software and RSI's AVL solution to track nearly 300 district school buses. Using <br />the AVL system provided by RSI and Trapeze Software, the integrated solution <br />provides valuable data to transportation operations such as doors sensors and also allows them to <br />compare planned versus actual route performance. <br />Cl5/IJC ', w Chugach Electric Association: Based in Anchorage, Alaska, the <br />Y,r4w llr a Chugach Electric Association provides power and electrical <br />POWERING ALASKA'S FUTURE services to over 81,000 retail customers in the state of Alaska. <br />The Chugach Electric Association ranks among the largest of the more than 900 electric <br />cooperatives in the country. Utilizing RSI's AVL system, Chugach Electric is able to monitor <br />their vehicle fleet in relation their own ESRI GIS data and infrastructure. <br />City of Torrance Fire Department: RSI has implemented a custom GPS- <br />based Vehicle Tracking System for the Torrance FD using existing VHF <br />frequencies. The system is integrated with the City's Tritech CAD system and <br />' • includes RSI's SPOT (Site Preplan On -Board Technology) software for Pre - <br />Incident Planning and In- Vehicle Navigation running on ruggedized mobile computers in the <br />vehicles. Torrance FD has seen a significant decrease in on -site response times since the <br />implementation of the AVL system. <br />South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD): The South Coast Air <br />Quality Management District (AQMD) serves as the air quality regulation and <br />enforcement agency for an area of 12,000 square miles covering four counties in <br />f southern California. RSI has implemented two separate GPS systems for AQMD, first <br />in the late 1990's and more recently in 2008. RSI initially tracked AQMD inspector <br />vehicles and now has implemented a customized AVL system to monitor hundreds of heavy duty <br />vehicles for Carl Moyer funding compliance reports.
