<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2012 - I ~~~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING CHANGE ORDER <br />NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT WITH NAMIN CONSTRUCTION <br />COMP ANY, INC. FOR BELLA VISTA BAY PARK IMPROVEMENTS, <br />IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY-FIVE THOUSAND <br />NINETY-FIVE DOLLARS AND SIXTY -THREE CENTS (55,095.63), <br />ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE <br />THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City issued and advertised Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 11-05-01, for <br />Bella Vista Bay Park Improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on June 15,2011 via Resolution No. 2011-1727, the City Commission awarded <br />RFP 11-05-01, and entered into an agreement with Namin Construction, Inc. to provide <br />improvements to Bella Vista Bay Park, in a total amount not to exceed Three Hundred Seventy-Five <br />Thousand Eight Hundred Seven Dollars ($375,807.00); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, even though site work to install a drainage system has been underway and some <br />improvements to the dock have been accomplished, the majority of the work is still in the permit <br />process; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as a result of permit requirements and changes in the Plans, the City now <br />desires to do the following items: electrical additions requested by the Fire Department: $10,703.76; <br />modifications in park furnishings: $3,514.20; new aluminum picket fence in lieu of chain link at east <br />property line: $7,156.80; drainage addition and revisions based on PERA requirements: $24,661.00; <br />revision of shelter floor frame not provided for in the original bid: $15,661.00; a credit of$6,60 1.13 <br />to the City for park furnishings not required; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Namin Construction Company, Inc. has expressed its ability and desire to <br />provide these services and provided the City with Change Order No. 1 in an amount not to exceed <br />Fifty-Five Thousand Ninety-Five Dollars and Sixty-Three Cents ($55,095.63), and an additional 161 <br />days to complete the project with a new contract completion date of June 8, 2012; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to approve Change Order No.1 to the Agreement with Namin <br />Construction Company, Inc. to provide these services for Bella Vista Bay Park, in an amount of Fifty- <br />Five Thousand Ninety-Five Dollars and Sixty-Three Cents ($55,095.63) attached hereto as Exhibit <br />"A", bringing the total contract amount not to exceed to Four Hundred Thirty Thousand Nine <br />Hundred Two Dollars and Sixty-Three Cents ($430,902.63). <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Approval of Change Order No. 1 to Agreement.
