Cohen, City Manager' <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />3/15/2012 <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />Purchase of a Monument Sign from GraphPlex for Government Center <br /> <br />-t- - <br />I <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Approve the resolution authorizing the purchase and installation of the monument sign <br /> <br />REASONS: <br /> <br />The Sunny Isles Beach Government Center is in need of improved signage for both <br />pedestrians and motorists. Weare working on improving signage for those using our <br />facilities both during and after normal business hours. This is particularly important <br />given the large number of tourists that come to our city who are not aware of the location <br />of important government resources. <br /> <br />Other than the signage in the Collins A venue median giving directions on where to turn <br />to access our facility, there is currently no sign at street level indicating that our particular <br />building is in the Government Center.
