Qualifications <br /> <br />Firm Experience and Qualifications <br /> <br />Edward Dugger + Associates, ED+A, provides comprehensive, fully integrated design <br />and management services including Architectural Acoustics, Mechanical Noise <br />Control, and AudioNideo Design and Construction Documents. We specialize in <br />innovative approaches to the acoustical environment as it relates to Architecture. We <br />are licensed architects, members of the American Institute of Architects (AlA), <br />Acoustical Society of America (ASA) and the National Council of Acoustical <br />Consultants (NCAC). <br /> <br />ED+A has reviewed the Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc Noise Assessment Report, <br />dated April 1 , 2011 and has found it to be an adequate starting point for a thorough <br />acoustic investigation of the site and the potential noise reduction strategies. <br /> <br />ED+A has extensive experience in conducting community noise studies, with projects <br />in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. We have also been instrumental <br />in reviewing and rewriting the noise ordinances for Broward County, Miami Beach, <br />and Palm Beach Gardens and fully understand the requirements of such a code and <br />what measures need to be taken to achieve compliance. <br /> <br />ED+A owns several sound level meters including a Bruel and Kjaer Model 2250 Type <br />I Sound level meter with annual calibration certificates (the type of equipment <br />required to meet ANSI standards) and the appropriate environmental noise software. <br />We excel in not only measuring, but visually depicting and identifying instantaneous <br />noise sources in relation to the overall acoustic environment levels over time. <br /> <br />We have proven experience in handling noise situations similar to that of the Town <br />Center Skate Park. We are able to find creative solutions that stem noise <br />transmission to neighboring sites and reduce noise levels and exceed the limits set <br />forth in the city noise ordinance.
