<br />Mr. Ortiz has over 25 years of design and management experience in a
<br />variety of civil engineering areas, specializing in the design and
<br />construction management of neighborhood improvement projects and
<br />water/wastewater facilities. Mr. Ortiz's experience also includes
<br />Program Management of fast-track and complex water and
<br />wastewater projects, including Consent Decree programs for Miami-
<br />Dade County and Puerto Rico. With the City of New York, Mr. Ortiz
<br />functioned as Construction Manager, Resident Engineer, and Field
<br />Engineer for a variety of multi-million dollar roadway reconstruction and
<br />neighborhood improvement projects.

<br />Project Experience
<br />
<br />Principal, New 8-lnch DIP Water Main Extension for the Miami-Dade
<br />Water and Sewer Department (WASD), Miami-Dade County, Florida -
<br />Mr. Ortiz was the Project Manager for the assessment and design of
<br />over 3,000 feet of 8-inch water distribution pipeline for the Miami-Dade
<br />Water and Sewer Department. The services provided included quality
<br />control and project coordination with the Master Consultant, WASD,
<br />and permitting agencies. Additional services included project activities
<br />scheduling, preparation of engineering cost estimates, and
<br />coordination with other stakeholders.

<br />Principal, East Miramar Redevelopment Transmission & Distribution
<br />Water Main Improvements, Phase III, Miramar, Florida - Project Mr. Ortiz
<br />as Project Manager, was responsible to provide engineering design
<br />services for the upgrade of approximately 72,000 L.F. of water mains.
<br />The project consists of upgrading existing undersized 2-inch and 4-inch
<br />residential water mains to a 6-inch PVC water main. This effort will
<br />improve pressure and provide fire protection within the area. Mr. Ortiz
<br />worked closely with the client to produce the most technically sound
<br />and cost effective design that incorporates all of the client's
<br />requirements and needs.

<br />Principal, City of Opa-Locka Canal Improvements, City of Opa-Locka,
<br />Florida - Mr. Ortiz was project Principal In Charge during construction
<br />oversight services for new canal segments for the City of Opa-Locka.
<br />Services provided included canal cleaning, dredging, slope
<br />stabilization and landscaping.
<br />
<br />Miramar Roadway Infrastructure Project, City of Mlramar, Florida - As
<br />Principial In Charge, Mr. Ortiz provided services in monitoring the
<br />construction activities throughout the southern half of the City of
<br />Miramar. The project consists of the installation of all the water, sewer,
<br />and drainage, as well as the expansion of a lift station and over 5 miles
<br />of roadway resurfacing. Mr. Ortiz is certifying all improvements being
<br />constructed under this contract.
<br />
<br />FEMA-DORM Flood Reduction Program, Miami-Dade County, Florida -
<br />Mr. Ortiz served as Project Principal for the prime firm, and was
<br />responsible for design and construction oversight of roadway
<br />improvements as part of the County's flood reduction program. His
<br />responsibilities also included planning, design review, and cost estimate
<br />preparation for the design of French drainage, roadway resurfacing,
<br />and reconstruction work.
