CITY OF SUNNY ISLES.BEACH 18070 Collins Avenue Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160eo"""is f 305.947.0606 ,°t .< www.sibfl.netO T, srj r•�J� e= • ot .r. fF �•.rtoa 54 14.OF SUN P�yO Of 89:; Section 2 Special Terms and Conditions 2.1 PURPOSE OF BID: The City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, (the "City") a municipality located in Miami-Dade County, Florida,seeks to establish a contract with a qualified caterer to provide food and beverages catering services for the City's anniversary. In conjunction with the City's needs on an as needed basis, in full accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this Request for Proposals (RFP). To be eligible for award of a contract in response to this solicitation, the caterer must demonstrate that they have successfully completed services, as specified in the Technical Specifications/ Scope of Services section of this solicitation, are normally and routinely engaged in performing such services, and are properly and legally licensed to perform such work. All activities of the caterer must comply with all applicable provisions of health, safety, sanitation, fire, and building codes. 2.2 PRE-BID CONFERENCE Intentionally Omitted 2.3 TERM OF CONTRACT This contract will commence upon execution by both parties which shall be the effective date succeeding approval of the contract by the City Commission, or designee, unless otherwise stipulated in the Notice of Award letter. The contract shall be contingent upon the completion and submittal of all required documents. This contract shall remain in effect until the completion of services, provided that the services rendered by Firm during the contract period are satisfactory and that City funding is available as appropriated on an annual basis. However, in the event funding is not appropriated on an annual basis during any particular year within the contract period, the contract may be canceled upon thirty (30) days written notice to Firm. In such an event, the City shall only be responsible for the reasonable value of services performed prior to the effective date of termination. 2.4 OPTIONS TO RENEW Prior to, or upon completion, of the first initial one (1) year term, the City shall have the option at its sole discretion to renew this contract for an additional four (4) one-year renewals. The contractor agrees not to assign or transfer the contract, or any portion thereof, without written approval of the City of Sunny Isles Beach. 2.5 METHOD OF AWARD See section 4 of this solicitation City of Sunny Isles Beach I Request for Proposal No. 17-02-01 10
