Hines, CMC, City Clerk <br />DATE: 7/19/2012 <br />RE: Resolution Authorizing the City Manager or his Designee to Approve <br />Required Contracts, Agreements, and Purchase Orders During the <br />Summer Recess <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />It is requested that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution that provides <br />authority to the City Manager to sign or renew contracts, agreements, and purchase <br />orders during the summer recess. <br />REASONS: <br />The City Commission is not scheduled to meet between July 19, 2012 and the next <br />regular meeting of September 20, 2012, and there may be new or existing contracts that <br />require approval during that time period. This Resolution authorizes the City Manager or <br />his Designee to sign or renew all required contracts, agreements, and purchase orders that <br />affect the health, safety, or welfare of the City during the summer recess period. <br />The City Manager will report back to the City Commission at the first regular City <br />Commission meeting of September 20, 2012, seeking after - the -fact ratifications. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Resolution <br />Agenda Item No. l OD\nDate 7/19/2012 <br />56 <br />
