As you can see from the diagram above, the location and area of the 24" x 24" precast driven <br />piles would require temporary encroachment onto La Perla property and would have the <br />potential for cracking /spalling of the deck /structure due to vibrations. The revised plan, as <br />shown below, relocates the piles, reduces their size and utilizes an installation methodology <br />which reduces vibrations. Due to the smaller size of these piles, the number of piles required <br />to support the structure is increased from six (6) to eight (8). <br />Deductive Change Order (Credit) for not installing six (6) -24" x 24" Precast Driven <br />Piles: <br />The originally contracted 24" x 24" precast driven piles have an established rate per LF as <br />shown in the contract documents. The breakdown of these costs is shown in Attachment "A" <br />and total to a credit to the contract of $43,795.64. <br />Additive Change Order (Increase) for installing eight (8) —18" round auger cast piles: <br />This scope of work was not originally contemplated in the original contract, thus there is no <br />set value contained in the contractual documents.
