SECTION 01340 <br /> SHOP DRAWINGS, WORKING DRAWINGS, AND SAMPLES <br /> PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> 1.01 REQUIREMENTS INCLUDED <br /> A. The contractor shall submit to the Engineer for review, such working drawings, <br /> shop drawings, test reports, data on materials and equipment (hereinafter in this <br /> article called data), and material samples (hereinafter in this article called <br /> samples) as are required for the proper control of work, including but not limited <br /> to those working drawings, shop drawings, data, and samples for materials and <br /> equipment specified elsewhere in the Specifications and in the Contract <br /> Drawings. <br /> B. The Contractor shall submit two (2) copies of shop drawings or other data to the <br /> Engineer plus the number the Contractor desires to be returned. For electrical or <br /> irrigation submittals, the Contractor shall submit four copies plus the number <br /> desired to be returned. <br /> C. Within ten (10) calendar days after the effective date of the Agreement, the <br /> Contractor shall submit to the Engineer a complete list of preliminary data for <br /> which Shop Drawings are to be submitted. Included in this list shall be the <br /> names of all proposed manufacturers furnishing specific items. Review of this list <br /> by the Engineer shall in no way expressed or implied relieve the Contractor from <br /> submitting complete Shop Drawings and providing materials, equipment, etc., <br /> fully in accordance with the Specifications. This procedure is required in order to <br /> expedite final review of Shop Drawings. <br /> D. The contractor is to maintain an accurate updated submittal log and will bring this <br /> log to each scheduled progress meeting with the Owner and Engineer. This log <br /> should include the following items: <br /> 1. Submittal-Description and Number assigned. <br /> 2. Date to Engineer. <br /> 3. Date returned to Contractor (from Engineer). <br /> 4. Status of Submittal. <br /> 5. Date of Resubmittal and Return (as applicable). <br /> 6. Date material released (for fabrication). <br /> 7. Projected date of fabrication. <br /> 8. Projected date of delivery to site. <br /> 1.02 RELATED REQUIREMENTS <br /> A. Document 00700: Standard General Conditions of the Construction Contract <br /> B. Section 01720: Project Record Documents <br /> C. Designate in the construction schedule, or in a separate coordinated schedule, <br /> the dates for submission and the dates that reviewed Shop Drawings, Working <br /> Drawings, and Samples will be needed. <br /> 08/12 01340-1 11-4179 <br />
