Addendum No. 7 <br />ARLEN HOUSE RIGHT-OF-WAY IMPROVEMENT <br />CITY RFP NO. 14-04-01 <br /> <br /> <br />a. The contractor may temporarily store these elements within the Public Works facility <br />located beneath the William Lehman Causeway for the duration of the project. The <br />contractor will be responsible for transferring these elements to and from the storage <br />facility. <br />b. Prior to construction, the contractor shall document the condition of existing of the <br />elements specified above through photo/video logs to be submitted to the City before <br />commencing on-site activities. Add alternates have been provided in the bid form to <br />account for any additional costs associated with the replacement of some of the existing <br />elements, if required to facilitate reinstallation. It is assumed that replacement of the <br />existing bus shelter will not be required. <br /> <br /> <br />6. Will a permit be required for the temporary fence? <br /> <br />Response: <br />Yes. A building permit will be required for the temporary construction fence. The successful <br />contractor will be required to submit plans, details and the pertinent applications to the City <br />building department for review and approval prior to the start of work. <br /> <br /> <br />7. Please clarify the difference between Line Item #5 and Line Item #6 <br /> <br />Response: <br />All Bidders are directed to eliminate item #5 – Furnish and Install temporary 6-ft tall security <br />fence along the Arlen House property. Bid item #6 – Temporary construction fencing shall include <br />ALL temporary fencing required for the project duration, including security fencing along the <br />Arlen House limits. <br /> <br /> <br />8. Line Item #18 is a Lump Sum about for Existing Utility Investigation of Project Limits. (Private <br />and Public) Will the City require this information to be added on the As-Builts? <br /> <br />Response: <br />Yes. The contractor will be required to depict this information on the final project as-builts, in <br />accordance with the as-built requirements outlined in the bid specifications. <br /> <br /> <br />9. Line Item #19 – Turnout Construction; please confirm this line item is for the restoration of the <br />proposed staging area on Bayview Drive. The line item does not call for the restoration of the <br />existing striping within the proposed staging area. <br /> <br />Response: <br />This line item refers to the construction of the vehicular access drive to the Arlen House property. <br />Bidders are directed to line item 80 – Mill and Resurface of Bayview Drive from Collins Ave to <br />guard house, for restoration of Bayview Drive. <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />
