Thursday, April 26, 2012 <br />• Inspect and review the project to monitor compliance with the Building Code, <br />City Ordinances, safety codes, and other applicable regulations. <br /> <br />• Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, <br />workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer. <br /> <br />• Assist in obtaining all necessary permits and licenses. <br /> <br />• Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design <br />professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, <br />complaints, and construction problems. <br /> <br />• Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that <br />proper procedures are being carried out. <br /> <br />Under Structural Engineering, the activities may include, but shall not be limited <br />to: <br /> <br />• Provide structural plans and specifications for any given project. <br /> <br />• Provide structural calculations to satisfy the authorities having jurisdiction. <br /> <br />• Provide consultation services to the Building Department as needed which <br />may include, but not be limited to, inspections and plans review as may be <br />directed by the building official. <br /> <br />• Provide inspections and associated reports. <br /> <br />• Use structural engineering modeling software such as RAM Advanse, <br />Enercalc or Revit. <br /> <br />Under MEP Engineering, the activities may include, but shall not be limited to: <br /> <br />• Provide mechanical, electrical, and pluming plans and specifications for any <br />given project. These may include plans for fire alarm, fire sprinkler, <br />generator design, and low voltage design such as computer cabling and <br />security. <br /> <br />• Provide MEP calculations to satisfy the authorities having jurisdiction. These <br />design calculations include, but are not limited to hydraulic calculations, <br />energy and load calculations, and electrical calculations. <br /> <br />• Provide consultation services for LEED implementation and energy efficiency <br />strategies <br /> <br />• Provide consultation services to the Building Department as needed which <br />may include, but not be limited to, inspections and plans review as may be <br />directed by the building official.
