<br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH |REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL NO. 14-07-01 - REVISED 10 <br /> <br />Section 2 <br />Special Terms and Conditions <br /> <br />2.1) PURPOSE OF BID: <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach Florida (“City”) intends to secure services of a qualified contractor <br />for repairs to the Government Center and the Government Center Garage. Bids shall include the <br />replacement of the existing 500 kw emergency generator and the addition of a new 5001000 kw <br />stand-by generator and a one or more phase maintenance and renovation projects for the provision <br />of building envelope repairs, fountain repairs, cast in place concrete and pre cast concrete panel <br />repairs, painting, sealing, tile and metals replacement. These repairs shall take place at the <br />Government Center and other related buildings and facilities and parks along with Public Works. <br />The work will require the contractor to obtain engineered signed and sealed shop drawings and <br />obtain permits. <br /> <br />2.2) PRE-BID CONFERENCE: <br /> <br />A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on 07/16/2014 10:00AM at the Sunny Isled Beach <br />Government Center, 18070 Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160; 1st Floor Conference <br />Room to discuss the special conditions and specifications included within this solicitation. Those <br />who fail to attend this mandatory pre-bid conference will not be considered by the City and their <br />bid will be rejected. <br /> <br />Bidders are requested to bring this solicitation document to the conference, as additional copies <br />may not be available. <br /> <br /> <br />2.3) TERM: <br /> <br />Work on the base contract shall start in August 2014 or no later than 14 days after the contractor <br />receives a Notice to Proceed (“NTP”) and completed within 9 calendar months from the Notice to <br />Proceed. <br /> <br />This contract shall commence upon the date of Notice to Proceed and shall remain in effect until <br />such time as the commodities, equipment and/or services acquired in conjunction with this request <br />for proposal have been completed and accepted by the City’s authorized representatives and upon <br />completion of the express and/or implied warranty periods. <br /> <br /> <br />2.4) OPTIONS TO RENEW: <br /> <br />Intentionally Omitted <br />
