RESOLUTION NO. 2017- 214(!) <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br /> OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AN <br /> INCREASE IN SPENDING AUTHORITY WITH HG2 <br /> EMERGENCY LIGHTING, LLC. FOR THE PURCHASE AND <br /> INSTALLATION OF SPECIAL LIGHTING AND EQUIPMENT <br /> FOR EMERGENCY VEHICLES, IN A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT <br /> TO EXCEED TWENTY-TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS <br /> ($22,000.00); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO <br /> ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS <br /> RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, on July 21, 2016 via Resolution No. 2016-2569 the City Commission <br /> approved an agreement with HG2 Emergency Lighting, LLC. In an amount of $110,000.00 to <br /> provide and install special lighting and equipment for emergency vehicles; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach is in need of a contractor to provide and <br /> install special lighting and equipment for recently purchased emergency vehicles; and <br /> WHEREAS, HG2 Emergency Lighting, LLC. have expressed the ability and desire to <br /> provide these services to the City pursuant to the pricing terms and conditions offered to the City <br /> of Kissimmee, Florida, via Bid No. BA2015-012; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the City's procurement code provisions, purchases made under <br /> state, county or other governmental contracts, or competitive bids with other governmental <br /> agencies are exempt from the City's competitive bidding procedures; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City wishes increase the City Manager's spending authority with HG2 <br /> Emergency Lighting, LLC. for the purchase and installation of special lighting and equipment <br /> for emergency vehicles, in a total amount not to exceed Twenty-Two Thousand Dollars <br /> ($22,000.00) for a total spending authority not to exceed One Hundred Thirty-Two Thousand <br /> Dollars ($132,000.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Authorizing an Increase in Spending Authority. The City Commission hereby <br /> increase the City Manager's spending authority with HG2 Emergency Lighting, LLC. for the <br /> purchase and installation of special lighting and equipment for emergency vehicles, in a total <br /> amount not to exceed Twenty-Two Thousand Dollars ($22,000.00) for a total spending authority <br /> not to exceed One Hundred Thirty-Two Thousand Dollars ($132,000.00), attached hereto as <br /> Exhibit "A". <br /> Section 2.
