RESOLUTION NO. 2018- 21 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF • SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NOS. 2006-941 AND 2008-1272, MODIFYING THE EXISTING CANVAS AWNING COLOR AT RK ASSOCIATES SHOPPING PLAZAS LOCATED AT 168 — 180 STREETS AND COLLINS AVENUE; PROVIDING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. r, WHEREAS, under the Sign Code, all signs in multi-tenant plazas must be uniformed in terms of illumination, material, fabrication, sign area, and in terms of color; and WHEREAS, the City Commission approved the Uniform Sign Plan previously submitted by RK Associates on July 6, 2006, via Resolution No. 2006-941 and later modified on May 15th, 2008, via Resolution No. 2008-1272; and WHEREAS, RK Associates Uniform Sign Plan applies to shopping plazas located at 168th street, 170th Street, 171' Street, 176th Street, 180th Street and Collins Avenue; and WHEREAS, RK Associates has requested signage modification to its previously approved Uniform Signage Plan to include the modification of their existing canvas awning colors from a combination of Navy Blue and Beige to the color Black. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA,AS FOLLOWS: •• Section 1. Approval of Exterior Canvas Awning Color. The City Commission hereby amends Resolution Nos. 2006-941 and 2008-1272 to approve RK Associates' revised Uniform Site Plan to modify the exiting exterior canvas awning color to the color Black. • Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The city manager is hereby authorized to do all • things necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date.
