RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - MI <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br /> SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN INCREASE <br /> IN SPENDING AUTHORITY WITH CALVIN, GIORDANO AND <br /> ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR THE NEWPORT FISHING PIER <br /> CLEANUP SERVICES, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TEN <br /> THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY-FOUR DOLLARS <br /> ($10,584.00); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL <br /> THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; <br /> PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City is in need of a contractor to provide cleanup services for the <br /> Newport Fishing Pier; and <br /> WHEREAS, Calvin, Giordano and Associates, Inc. have proven to be willing and able to <br /> perform said services; and <br /> WHEREAS, the -City Commission now wishes to approve an increase in spending <br /> authority with Calvin, Giordano, and Associates, Inc., for the Newport Fishing Pier Cleanup <br /> services in an amount not to exceed Ten Thousand Five :Hundred Eighty-Four Dollars <br /> ($10,584.00). <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Approval of Increase in Spending Authority. The City Commission hereby <br /> approves an increase in spending authority with Calvin, Giordano, and Associates, Inc., for the <br /> Newport Fishing Pier Cleanup services in an amount not to exceed Ten Thousand Five Hundred <br /> Eighty-Four Dollars ($10,584.00). <br /> Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br /> things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> Section 3. Effective Date.
