Mayor <br /> DATE: December 20, 2012 <br /> RE: Recognizing Philanthropists Stephanie and Jules Trump, Eddie Trump and <br /> Acqualina Resort and Spa <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> The attached Resolution is recommended for approval. <br /> REASONS: <br /> Since their arrival in South Florida, Stephanie and Jules Trump have generously donated time <br /> and money to numerous charitable causes. They have provided numerous young people in <br /> Miami-Dade County with educational opportunities through their non-profit organization called <br /> the "I have a Dream Foundation. Their dedication to providing educational opportunities to the <br /> youth is a passion without limitations. Today, I am asking the City Commission to recognize <br /> Stephanie and Jules Trump, Eddie Trump and Acqualina Resort and Spa for their donation of <br /> $50,000 for scholarships to college bound students residing in the City of Sunny Isles Beach. <br /> The donation will be given to the K-8 Trust Fund for purposes of awarding the scholarships to <br /> deserving students who live in the City. <br /> Agend_ tI e""` k 0 <br /> M <br /> Date L2 2 D- l <br />
