Matos,Assistant to the City Manager for <br /> Special Projects <br /> DATE: 3/15/2018 <br /> Grant Agreement with Florida Department of <br /> RE: Transportation for Sunny Isles Beach Drainage <br /> Improvements for$300,000.00 <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended that the City Commission approve this grant <br /> agreement for the acceptance of $300,000 for drainage improvements <br /> in the vicinity of Gwen Margolis Park. <br /> REASONS: <br /> This drainage project involves a maintenance program that will alleviate <br /> flooding caused by rainfall, seasonal tides and storm events along <br /> North Bay Road, Atlantic Boulevard, 178th Drive and the side streets in <br /> between. Project scope includes well development, installation of 18 <br /> inch PVC liner casing in each well, clearing of outfalls, and conversion <br /> of gravity wells to injection wells as needed. <br /> FUNDING SOURCE: <br /> $300,000 grant from Florida Department of Transportation <br /> $300,000 local match from City Capital Improvements Program (300- <br /> 5-5410-465000-83002) <br /> ATTACHMENTS: <br /> 127 <br />
