His duties include project and client management for all aspects of the County’s <br />coastal management programs, including project proposals, budgets, and project implementation with APTIM’s <br />multidisciplinary staff of engineers, geologists and biologists as needed. He has managed the design and <br />implementation of both a reconnaissance‐level sand search and a design‐level sand search to locate and permit <br />sand resources for the Sand Key Shore Protection Project. Mr. Suthard also managed and assisted with the <br />development of a comprehensive Summary Planning Document, which described every one of the County’s coastal <br />program elements in terms of their history, current status and potential future needs as well as Capital <br />Improvement budget predictions for each element through 2020. <br />b. <br />(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State) (2) YEAR COMPLETED <br />Lido Key Beach Nourishment Projects, City of Sarasota, Florida PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION (If <br />applicable) <br />2005‐present 2009 <br />BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE Check if project performed with current firm <br />Mr. Suthard served as Marine Geophysicist for a series of full geologic mapping studies for the 2009 Lido Key Beach <br />Nourishment Project. These investigations included full geologic stratigraphic evaluations, sand search investigations <br />and cultural resource investigations utilizing sidescan sonar, seismic sub‐bottom, fathometer, and magnetometer <br />surveys, together with vibracore collection and analysis. The high quality white sand for the project came from the <br />New Pass navigation channel and ebb shoal. The project won the ASBPA Best Restored Beach Award for 2009. <br />c. <br />(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State) SECTION F PROJECT #5 (2) YEAR COMPLETED <br />Anna Maria Island Shore Protection Program <br />Manatee County, Florida <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONSTRUCTION (If <br />applicable) <br />2005‐present 2005/2006, 2011, 2014 <br />BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE Check if project performed with current firm <br />Mr. Suthard served as Marine Geophysicist for a series of full geologic mapping studies, including both field <br />operations and office‐based data processing and interpretation in order to identify and define offshore borrow <br />areas of beach‐compatible sand in support of the Anna Maria Island Central Beach Storm Damage Repair Project, <br />the City of Anna Maria and Coquina Beach Nourishment Projects and the Central Anna Maria Beach Renourishment <br />Project. Mr. Suthard also assisted with investigations to map and identify potential mitigative artificial reef <br />construction sites. <br /> <br />
