<br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH SECTION 01025 - 1 <br />MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> <br />SECTION 01025 <br />MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />A. Payments to the CONTRACTOR shall be made on the basis of the Proposal bid items <br />as full and complete payment for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, and equipment and <br />for performing all operations necessary to complete the Work included in the Contract <br />Documents. Such compensation shall also include payments for any loss or damages <br />arising directly or indirectly from the Work, from any discrepancies between the actual <br />quantities of work and those shown in the Contract Documents, or from any unforeseen <br />difficulties which may be encountered during execution of the Work until the final <br />acceptance by the City of Sunny Isles Beach (OWNER). <br /> <br />B. The base and alternate unit prices stated in the proposal include all costs and expenses <br />for general conditions, taxes, labor, equipment, materials, commissions, transportation <br />charges and expenses, patent fees and royalties, and labor for handling materials during <br />inspection, together with any and all other costs and expenses for performing and <br />completing the Work as shown on the plans and specified herein. The Basis of Payment <br />for an item at the price shown in the Proposal shall be in accordance with its description <br />of the item in this Section and as related to the Work specified and as shown on the <br />Drawings. The unit prices stated in the Contract shall be considered fixed and firm during <br />the contract term. Payment shall be made under each item only for work as it is not <br />specifically included under other items. <br /> <br />C. The CONTRACTOR's attention is called to the fact that the quotations for the various <br />items of Work are intended to establish a total price for completing the Work in its entirety. <br />Should the CONTRACTOR feel that the cost of any item of Work has not been <br />established by the Schedule of Values or Measure and Payment, he shall include the <br />cost for that Work in the relevant Bid Items so that his proposal for the project does reflect <br />his total price for completing the Work in its entirety. <br /> <br />D. The CONTRACTOR shall furnish all labor, equipment and material required to complete <br />the rehabilitation of twenty (20) storm water gravity disposal wells (including the concrete <br />well structures) and the outfalls identified by OWNER and return each well to full <br />continuous service following rehabilitation of each well.
