Wednesday, April 25, 2018 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Addendum No. 1 <br /> <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br />North Bay Road Drainage Improvements <br />CITY ITB NO. 18-04-01 <br /> <br />To All Bidders: <br /> <br />Bidders for the above-referenced project shall take note of the following changes, <br />additions, deletions, clarifications, etc. to the Plans and Specifications, which in <br />accordance with the Contract Documents shall become a part of and have precedence <br />over anything shown or described otherwise. <br /> <br /> Response to Questions <br /> <br /> <br />1. What’s the engineer’s estimate for the above referenced job? / Do you have an <br />Engineer’s Estimate for the referenced project? <br /> <br />Response: Engineer’s cost estimates have not been submitted to the City. <br />Furthermore, the budget is not finalized for this capital improvement project. <br /> <br />2. How will the determination for bid award be made? Based solely on low bid or <br />based on bid price and qualifications? <br /> <br />Response: Please refer to section 2.5, Method of Award, which includes price, <br />qualifications, references, scheduled work commitment, early completion, etc. <br /> <br />3. Will bid award be based on the base bid items only or will the alternate items be <br />considered for bid award? <br /> <br />Response: Alternate items will be considered in determination of award. <br /> <br />4. Is it required that the prime contractor be a certified well contractor? <br /> <br />Response: All well related work shall be performed by a certified well <br />contractor. <br /> <br />5. Since the majority of the alternate items involve work not typically performed by a <br />well contractor, but rather an underground utility or general contractor, would bids
