In some cases, consideration may <br /> be given to whether the project fosters opportunities for local community artists. <br /> • Is the artwork being produced from artists of diverse ethnic cultural and geographical <br /> identities so as to be somewhat representative of the population of the community? <br /> Explain. <br /> • Is the artist willing to give warranties as requested such as copyright belonging to <br /> artist, prove the technical feasibility, and evidence adherence to safety standards? <br /> Explain. No piece of public art should disrupt traffic, create a visual distraction that <br /> could expose the City to liability, have any sharp or protruding edges or otherwise <br /> create a nuisance. <br /> • Does the piece of artwork represent diversity of style, scale and media? Explain. <br /> • How will the artwork encourage other private art in private developments or will it <br /> foster an opportunity for a joint public-private venture? <br /> • The Committee can choose to waive any of the foregoing for exceptional <br /> circumstances. <br />
