RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - 7�ti2� <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br /> SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AWARDING REQUEST FOR <br /> PROPOSAL ("RFP") NO. 18-04-02 TO, AND AUTHORIZING THE <br /> CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE WITH A PRIMARY BIDDER <br /> AND SECONDARY BIDDER AND ENTER INTO AN <br /> AGREEMENT WITH CROWDERGULF, LLC, AND DRC <br /> EMERGENCY SERVICES, LLC TO PROVIDE DISASTER <br /> DEBRIS MANAGEMENT AND REMOVAL SERVICES, <br /> PROVIDED SAID AGREEMENTS ARE FIRST APPROVED AS TO <br /> FORM AND LEGAL SUFFICIENCY BY THE CITY ATTORNEY; <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE CITY <br /> ATTORNEY TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br /> EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City is in need of a consultant to provide disaster debris management <br /> and removal services in the event of an emergency; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City issued and advertised RFP No. 18-04-02 for Disaster Debris <br /> Management and Removal Services and received five (5) responses, and Crowdergulf, LLC, and <br /> DRC Emergency Services, LLC represented to the City that it possesses the requisite <br /> qualifications, expertise and licenses to perform all necessary work in connection with the <br /> services specified in the RFP; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to award RFP No. 18-04-02 to, and authorize <br /> the City Manager to negotiate with a Primary Bidder and Secondary Bidder and enter into an <br /> Agreement with Crowdergulf, LLC, and DRC Emergency Services, LLC to provide disaster <br /> debris management and removal services, provided said Agreements are first approved as to form <br /> and legal sufficiency by the City Attorney. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Award of RFP No. 18-04-02 and Authorization of City Manager. The City <br /> Commission hereby awards RFP No. 18-04-02 to, and authorizes the City Manager to negotiate <br /> with a Primary Bidder and Secondary Bidder and enter into an Agreement with Crowdergulf, <br /> LLC, and DRC Emergency Services, LLC to provide disaster debris management and removal <br /> services, provided said Agreements are first approved as to form and legal sufficiency by the City <br /> Attorney. The City Commission authorizes the City Manager to reject all bids if negotiation fails. <br /> Section 2. Authorization of City Manager and City Attorney. The City Manager and the <br /> City Attorney are hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> Section 3. Effective Date.
