ORDINANCE NO. 2018- 524 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br /> OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING - <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2017-507; AMENDING THE CITY'S BUDGET <br /> NO. BA1718-02 FOR THE 2017-2018 FISCAL YEAR - GENERAL <br /> FUND, STREET MAINTENANCE & CONSTRUCTION FUND, <br /> BUILDING FUND, CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND, STORMWATER <br /> FUND, AND STORMWATER OPERATIONS AND CAPITAL <br /> FUND; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL <br /> THINGS NECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT THE TERMS AND <br /> CONDITIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Sections 200.065 and 166.241, Florida Statutes and the <br /> City Charter, the City Commission adopted the Budget for Fiscal Year 2017-2018 (the `Budget") <br /> by Ordinance No. 2017-507; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City's Finance Director has determined a need to amend the Budget for: <br /> (1) transfer existing budget to the proper departments for 17/18 COLA adjustments, (2) record <br /> newly awarded and unbudgeted revenue sources, (3) appropriate funds for hurricane <br /> preparedness efforts, (4) reclassify existing available budget for capital project needs, (5) <br /> appropriate funds in Stormwater Capital in accordance with the adopted budget for drainage <br /> projects; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that it is necessary to amend the <br /> Budget, as set forth in Exhibit "A", based upon the review and analysis provided by the Finance <br /> Director. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1: Incorporation of Recitals. The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby <br /> ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part by this <br /> Ordinance upon adoption hereof. <br /> Section 2: Budget Amendment. The Budget for Fiscal Year 2017-2018 adopted by <br /> Ordinance No. 2017-507 is amended as Budget Amendment No. BA 1718-02 to reflect the <br /> revisions in Exhibit "A". All other terms and conditions of Ordinance No. 2017-507 not <br /> otherwise amended by this Ordinance shall remain in full force and effect. <br /> Section 3: Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to take <br /> all actions necessary to implement the terms and conditions of this Ordinance. <br /> Section 4: Effective Date.
