RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - 7%.2-o <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br /> SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN INCREASE <br /> IN SPENDING AUTHORITY WITH REP SERVICES, INC. IN AN <br /> AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY-FIVE THOUSAND <br /> DOLLARS ($55,000.00) FOR THE PURCHASE OF BUS BENCHES <br /> AND TRASH RECEPTACLES; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br /> MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br /> EFFECTUATE THE TERMS OF THIS RESOLUTION; <br /> PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, on September 21, 2017 via Resolution No. 2017-2734 the City Commission <br /> authorized the City Manager to approve purchases and services under $50,000.00; and <br /> WHEREAS, earlier this fiscal year.the City purchased bus shelter benches from Rep <br /> Services, Inc. in an amount under the City Manager's purchasing authority of$50,000.00; and <br /> WHEREAS, City Manager has determined that additional bus benches and trash <br /> receptacles are in need of replacement; and <br /> WHEREAS, Rep Services, Inc., being a sole source vendor, has submitted a quote for the <br /> additional bus benches in an amount not to exceed Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars ($55,000.00); <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to authorize the increase in the City Manager's <br /> spending authority in an amount not to exceed Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars ($55,000.00), for a <br /> total amount not to exceed One Hundred Five Thousand Dollars ($105,000.00) with Rep <br /> Services. Inc. attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section L Approval of Increase in Spending Authority. The City Commission approves the <br /> City Manager's increase in spending authority with Rep Services, Inc. in an amount not to exceed <br /> Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars ($55,000.00), for a total amount not to exceed One Hundred Five <br /> Thousand Dollars ($105,000.00), attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br /> things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> Section 3. Effective Date.
