directed, in writing, by Contractor. Such communications shall be promptly facilitated. Engineer's <br />access to Owner shall not be unreasonably withheld. <br />D. Contractor and Engineer acknowledge each other's legal obligation with respect to public health <br />and safety and will cooperate with each other to help ensure compliance with these obligations. <br />2.00 (NOT USED) <br />ARTICLE 2—PROPOSAL PHASE <br />ARTICLE 3 --BASIC SERVICES <br />3.00 General <br />A. Engineer's Basic Services shall include all professional engineering services as required in <br />Exhibit A, Scope of Services. <br />B. During its performance of the Work, Engineer shall advise Contractor as to the necessity of <br />Contractor's providing, or obtaining from others, data or services of the types described in paragraph <br />5.01 which are not part of Engineer's Basic Services, and assist Contractor, as appropriate, in obtaining <br />such data or services. <br />3.01 Review and Update DCP Reports, Existing Base Sheets, and 30% Design Drawings Phase <br />A. After written notice to proceed from Contractor, Engineer shall: <br />1. Consult with Contractor, and if required, with Owner, to define, clarify, and review data <br />Contractor provided to Engineer and Owner's and Contractor's requirements for the 30% Design <br />Drawings Phase of the Project; <br />2. Attend such meetings as directed by Contractor, (As listed in attached Scopes of Services, <br />Exhibit A <br />3. Analyze requirements of governmental authorities having jurisdiction to approve the portions <br />of the Project designed or specified by Engineer and with whom consultation is to be undertaken in <br />connection with the Project; <br />4. On the basis of the design requirements of the Project, prepare 30% Design Phase <br />documents consisting of final design criteria, preliminary drawings, outline specifications and written <br />descriptions of the Project; <br />5. Provide complete documentation of all design calculations and assumptions as Contractor <br />requires; <br />6. Furnish the 30% Design Phase documents to and review them with Contractor and, if <br />required, Owner. <br />B. Engineer will submit the 30% Design Phase documents within the time period indicated in Article <br />6 of this Agreement. <br />C. Engineer's services under the 30% Design Phase will be considered complete at the date when <br />the 30% Design Phase documents have been accepted by Contractor and, if required, the Owner and <br />governmental authorities having jurisdiction to approve the 30% Design Phase documents, if such <br />approval is to be obtained during the 30% Design Phase. Contractor's acceptance shall not be <br />unreasonably withheld. <br />2 <br />218 <br />
