RESOLUTION NO. 2018- <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br /> SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br /> MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE <br /> FLORIDA DIVISION OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT FOR <br /> FEMA REIMBURSEMENT; PROVIDING THE CITY MANAGER <br /> AND CITY ATTORNEY WITH THE AUTHORITY TO DO ALL <br /> THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; <br /> PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City has been working with the State of Florida Division of Emergency <br /> Management ("FEMA") to close out projects for payment related to Hurricane Irma; and <br /> WHEREAS, the first project is approved and is available for reimbursement; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to authorize the City Manager to enter into an <br /> agreement with the Florida Division of Emergency Management to accept the reimbursement <br /> payment for the first approved project and all future reimbursements related to Hurricane Irma. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Authorization to Enter into an Agreement for FEMA Reimbursement. The City <br /> Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into an agreement with the Florida <br /> Division of Emergency Management for FEMA Reimbursement related to Hurricane Irma. <br /> Section 2. Authorization of City Management and City Attorney. The City Manager and City <br /> Attorney are hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. <br /> Section 3. Effective Date.
