City of Sunny Isles Beach RFQ No. 18-11-01 | Consulting Engineering Services for Golden ShoresPump Station Rehabilitation (CCNA)
Agency:Address:
Tel:POC:
Term:Role:
City of Weston17200 Royal Palm BlvdWeston, Florida 33326954.385.2000Denise BarrettDirector of Communications1995 - PresentPrime
Indian Trace Development District Stormwater Management Master Plan - City of Weston
The Indian Trace Development District (ITCDD), a dependent district of the City of Weston, consists of 2,245 acres of interconnected lakes and wetlands discharging into the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) C-11 West Canal. The water quality and discharge rates are controlled by the two large stormwater pump stations on the southern boundary of the community.
Phase I of the Stormwater Master Plan identified the hydraulic and the hydrologic characteristics of the development district. This data was then compared to the previously permitted information and discrepancies were identified and rectified through use of the existing GIS database. This information provided a more refined level of accuracy than was used to obtain the previous permits. In addition, CGA verified existing data using a G.P.S. Survey Crew. The hydrologic and hydraulic model was recreated based on updated and verified data.
The model provided a base line from which the City’s Level of Service (LOS) was determined. Additionally, the model identified weaknesses in the conveyance system, flood conditions due to an insufficient volume of storage and unacceptable localized flood durations within the District boundary. Proposed Improvements to the system were incorporated into the model and their effect on the performance of the system evaluated. From this, CGA developed a prioritized list of necessary improvements, including projected cost, for inclusion in the City’s Capital Improvement Plan.
150
