RESOLUTION N0.2026 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA; AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF BUDGETED FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF THREE (3) TOYOTA RAV4 LE HYBRID AWD VEHICLES FROM SEMINOLE TOYOTA FOR USE BY THE PARKING DIVISION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED FIVE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED NINETY-NINE DOLLARS AND NO CENTS ($105,299.00); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on September 11, 2025, via Resolution No. 2025-635, the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach (the "City") adopted the Operating and Capital Improvement Budget for the Fiscal Year Commencing October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026 ("Adopted Budget"); and WHEREAS, City's Parking Division is in need of purchasing three (3) Toyota RAV4 LE Hybrid Vehicles (the "Vehicles") to continue offering high levels of service to City residents and stakeholders; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 62-13(C) of the City's Purchasing Code, purchases made under state general service administration contracts, federal, county, or other governmental contracts or competitive bids with other governmental agencies, are exempt from the competitive bidding requirements set forth in Chapter 62; and WHEREAS, City staff has been able to secure the Vehicles from Seminole Toyota (the "Vendor") utilizing the Florida Sheriff's Association Contract No. FSA23-VEL31.0; and WHEREAS, the purchase of these Vehicles were included in the Adopted Budget; and WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to expend budgeted funds for the purchase of the Vehicles from the Vendor, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Five Thousand Two Hundred Ninety -Nine Dollars and No Cents ($105,299.00). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Expenditure of Budgeted Funds. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager, or his designee, to expend budgeted funds for the purchase of three (3) Toyota RAV4 LE Hybrid vehicles from Seminole Toyota, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Five Thousand Two Hundred Ninety -Nine Dollars and No Cents ($105,299.00). Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date.
