RESOLUTION NO. 2026- <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH PROPOSED AD VALOREM TAX MILLAGE LEVY RATE <br />AT 1.6514 MILLS PER ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00) OF TAXABLE <br />ASSESSED VALUE WHICH IS EQUALTO THE "ROLLED BACK" RATE OF 1.6514 MILLS, <br />FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026/2027; SETTING THE DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR THE FIRST <br />AND SECOND PUBLIC BUDGET HEARINGS AS REQUIRED BY LAW; DIRECTING THE <br />CITY CLERK AND CITY MANAGER TO FILE THIS RESOLUTION WITH THE PROPERTY <br />APPRAISER OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY PURSUANT TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF <br />FLORIDA STATUTES AND THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />REVENUE OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Property Appraiser of Miami -Dade County, Florida, served upon the City of <br />Sunny Isles Beach a "Certification of 2026 Taxable Value"; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 200.065, Florida Statutes, the City of Sunny Isles Beach will <br />furnish the County Property Appraiser the proposed ad valorem tax millage rate, and the date, <br />time, and place at which public hearings will be held to consider the proposed millage rate and <br />tentative budget for Fiscal Year 2026/2027; and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission agrees to establish the proposed ad valorem tax millage levy <br />rate at 1.6514 mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of taxable assessed value. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br />ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Establish the Proposed Millage Rate. The proposed ad valorem tax millage rate is <br />hereby established as 1.6514 mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) of assessed property <br />value in the City of Sunny Isles Beach. The proposed millage reflected is equal to the "rolled back" <br />rate of 1.6514 mills, for Fiscal Year 2026/2027. <br />Section 2. Setting the Public Hearings. The date, time, and place of the first and second public <br />hearings are hereby set by the City Commission as follows: <br />Date Time Place <br />September 2, 2026 5:30 p.m. Sunny Isles Beach Government Center <br />David P.
